- My thanks to Cassandra Kidson for giving of her time to assist with voice recording. Unfortunately the client requested several changes to the recorded script a few days before the deadline, and I had to re-record the changed script using my voice.
- Audio recording, editing and mastering done using Ardour and Audacity.
- With the exception of some of the toy-brick models, all modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and rendering was created using the SVN version of Blender 3D. Several toy-brick models were created and edited using Bricksmith by Allen Smith and imported into Blender using the Yann’s LDraw python script.
- 2D matte paintings and textures created using Inkscape and The Gimp.
- The original python script which I used as the basis for the “Flying Assembly” shots was authored by Joshua ‘aligorith’ Leung, Geoffrey ‘briggs’ Bantle & martestudio.com (published in Blender Art Magazine #16 and on BlenderArtists.org forums).
- The “Burj Al Arab” bottle and glasses models were sourced from the Blender Model Repository. I didn’t model the Burj myself, and despite my efforts to discover the name of the creator thereof have been unsuccessful. I’d like to give credit where it is due, so if you’re out there…
- Special thanks to Jens Verwiebe for his patient support in assisting my efforts to squeeze a considerable amount of extra performance out of Blender. The optimized build I’m now using flies!
- “The ManCandy FAQ” (by Bursam Kurdali), “Introducing Character Animation with Blender” and “Bounce, Tumble and Splash” (both by Tony Mullen) proved to be invaluable resources. All three are top-drawer publications which are always lying within arm’s reach (or a click of the mouse).
- Ton Rosendaal and the Blender community : thank you for continuing to make such an phenomenal creative tool available to everyone!
- My deepest thanks go to Candice, Cail, my parents, and my friends for supporting me through the months of late nights.
